Case #21-0164-EL-BGN.
Quick Fact:
Ohio is one of the least efficient states in the country for solar power.
Ohio frequently experiences weather which renders solar panels completely useless. Rainy, snowy and overcast days mean sunlight will not be available for solar panels to convert the energy from the sunlight into electricity. Ohio also experiences much shorter daylight hours during the winter months.
Why should Hartford residents deal with the many risks if these solar panels can barely do their job?
Quick Fact:
If this development is successful, it will inevitably and directly contribute to thousands of toxic panels being thrown in landfills.
The average lifespan of one solar panel ranges between 15 to 25 years. The leases Harvey Solar 1 have set in place span 40 years.
This means that every single one of the thousands of solar panels they install will have to be replaced once, if not twice.
